Visibility: 8-25m. Depth: 3-30m. Note: The underwater visibility of dive sites in the Tarutao Archipelago can be poor with visibility of 5 to 8 meters or cristal clear with 20 meters or more, as the wind, swells and strong currents during double day tides with a strong tidal range may affect visibility.

The island of Koh Lipe is on the border of the Tarutao National Marine Park and is directly south of the larger islands of Ko Adang, Koh Rawi and Koh Butang, and about 50 km from the island of Ko Tarutao. It was originally settled by a group of Malayic-speaking people,sea gypsies (Chaolay in Thai and 'orang laut' in Malay), known as the Urak Lawoi’ people.
